10:45 am - Noon  - Money of the Future: Generating Revenue Through EMS Alternative Delivery Models

Doug Wolfberg, Esq., Page, Wolfberg & Wirth

Treatment without transport.  Telemedicine.  Strategic partnerships.  Integrated care delivery.  Alternative destinations.  If the past few years have taught us anything, it’s that EMS is not sustainable on a purely transport-driven revenue model.  This forward-looking session will explain how EMS agencies can make the future happen now – and generate revenue through a new approach to delivery of care.  PWW attorney Doug Wolfberg will lead us through this impactful look at where revenue models are headed in EMS, and how to capitalize.

Noon - 1:30 pm - Lunch (visit the vendors)

1:30 - 2:45 pm - Rethinking “Zero Day Billing”: Managing Patient Deductibles in the New Era of Healthcare

Doug Wolfberg, Esq., Page, Wolfberg & Wirth

With patient deductibles taking a larger-than-ever share of ambulance reimbursement, mastering patient deductible management is more critical than ever.  This session will cover the importance of insurance discovery, the decision on timing or holding your charges, and maximizing payer reimbursement instead of patient balances.  The days of “zero day billing” are long gone – and now, “right day billing” must be your guiding principle.

2:45 - 3:15 pm Break (visit the vendors)

3:15 - 4:45 pm  Defeat the Villians of EMS Billing

Maggie Adams, EMS Financial Services, Inc.

Ambulance billing in 2022 is like managing the treachery of “Ozark.” Just when you think you understand the twists required by payers, you get gob-smacked by another surprise. Attend this lively session to learn to defeat the top problems of today’s ambulance billing. We will discuss solutions to the thorniest third-party payer, facility, and self-pay account problems. Let’s help get your cash flow to a more blissful “Bridgerton” state.
